Dear Friends and Partners,

Recently, we shared with you that our Vice President of Partnerships, Jeff Hostetter, had an opportunity to return to Honduras for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with Isaac Linck, our Partner Catalyst for Latin America, Jeff attended the graduation ceremony for more than 70 graduates of our entrepreneurship training through our partnership with the Church of God in Honduras.

Jeff and Isaac were honored to be invited to deliver the graduation charge for these future business owners and job creators.

"Pastors and entrepreneurs - with Christ as the foundation - are making disciples and multiplying churches together - a powerful combination for the glory of God!" - Jeff Hostetter

The enthusiasm of these graduates lit up the room! Another 130 students have completed the program and will graduate soon.

These 200 pastors have undergone a paradigm shift. They no longer see business as necessarily corrupt but recognize that when it's used to serve all stakeholders, it can be a huge and godly blessing to the entire community.

They plan to see their small businesses bring four blessings, in particular:

1. embracing God's provision for tuition and medical care cost for their children

2. providing jobs for their parishioners

3. building new relationships between the church and the community

3. creating new opportunities to train community members to start their own businesses

And how humbling and inspiring it was for our team to see the hope our curriculum has created.

Reaching people on this scale—and making this kind of difference—would be impossible without our partnerships with aligned nonprofit organizations, like the Church of God in Honduras. The support of Director of Entrepreneurship, Pastor Pedro Calderon, and National Supervisor, Pastor Oscar Luna, has been invaluable.

Co-creating with our partner organizations allows us to empower local people to positively impact their communities through entrepreneurship.

This is truly business for God’s glory!

Please join us in praying that God’s will be done in creating opportunities for these future business owners and job creators.

In gratitude,

The Creating Jobs Team
